Pets we are currently helping
Several dogs are in urgent need of care, and we can’t do it without your help. Your donation could mean the difference between heartbreak and hope for these pups and their families. Please give today and help save a life!
Expresso

Expresso tested negative for heartworms just prior to me adopting her and was given a Proheart injection to prevent them, She tested positive at her annual appointment on 11/14/24 through Windcrest Animal Hospital in Wilmington, DE. She is on full exercise restriction and will undergo 6 months of treatments starting in January after a month of antibiotics. Her cough has already started.
Kai

Kai is battling multiple health challenges that have left him in constant pain. He has exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) and a suspected autoimmune disease that causes severe skin issues. These skin problems have worsened to the point that they affect his feet, making it painful for him to walk. A punch biopsy is urgently needed to diagnose and treat his condition. Results are pending from the biopsy.
Roxy

Roxy has a very large tumor on the belly that has been growing exponentially for the past year. It started as a small bump and is now the size of a softball and a golfball next to each other. She’s a sweet happy girl, but you can tell from a mile away that she’s in pain. She doesn’t do much of anything anymore. She needs surgery to remove the mass and needs medication to help her heal up afterwards.
Her tumor is connected to her muscle on her stomach and it is too big, meaning surgery isn’t an option as of right now. They put her on steroids to hopefully shrink the tumor and ee were also able to get bloodwork done for her. She still needs a biopsy to see if it’s cancer and an x-ray to see if it’s spread to her chest.
